Artwork Guidelines
Send It Right — So We Can Make It Perfect
The quality of your logo or artwork is the first step to achieving a professional result.
At W18 Workwear, we’ve made it easy — just follow these simple artwork tips and we’ll handle the rest.
Our team reviews every file before production to ensure your embroidery or print looks crisp, clean and ready for work.
🖨️ For Printing (DTF)
For printing, we recommend vector files whenever possible — such as AI, EPS, SVG or PDF.
Vector artwork keeps lines and edges sharp at any size, ensuring your print looks as good on a hoodie as it does on a T-shirt.
We also accept raster formats (PNG, JPG, TIFF, PSD). The higher the quality, the better the result.
If the image resolution is too low, we’ll get in touch before production to discuss options.
Print artwork checklist:
- Recommended resolution: 300 DPI or higher
- Maximum file size: 50 MB
- Transparent background: preferred, but not required
- Colour limit: none — DTF printing supports full colour designs
You’ll see your design preview live when placing your print order.
Please note that colours may vary slightly depending on your monitor or screen settings.
🪡 For Embroidery
We accept all common file types — you don’t need to worry about converting your logo into embroidery format.
Our team will take care of the digitising process and ensure every detail is prepared correctly before production.
Please make sure your artwork is clear, high-quality and easy to read, especially if it includes small text or fine details.
If something isn’t suitable for embroidery (for example, text that’s too small or fine lines that might close up in stitching), we’ll contact you before proceeding.
Embroidery artwork checklist:
- Minimum recommended resolution: 300 DPI
- Clear, visible details — no blurry or pixelated images
- Avoid screenshots or phone photos of business cards or uniforms
- File size: up to 50 MB
- Colours: we use Madeira threads and match them as closely as possible to your uploaded design
After your logo is prepared, you’ll receive a digital proof via email showing how it looks once converted to embroidery.
Colours displayed on screen may differ slightly from actual thread shades.
💬 Extra Tips
You can add notes or special requests in the comment box during checkout (e.g. “Please make the logo 10% bigger” or “Use white thread for text”).
If your file quality is too low or the text is unreadable, we’ll contact you before production.
Returning customer? You can re-use your previously uploaded and paid logo for free — as long as the size stays the same.
✅ Quick Checklist Before You Upload
We handle every step internally to ensure precision and consistency.
- File is clear and at least 300 DPI
- Size under 50 MB
- Transparent background (for print, optional)
- No blurry edges or screenshots
- Added notes or special requests (if needed)
Artwork Positioning & On-Screen Previews
Any on-screen previews shown during the ordering process are for illustration purposes only.
Final logo or text placement is carried out using our standard positioning guidelines, based on garment type, size and production requirements.
Please note that the appearance and positioning of customisation may vary between different garment sizes. For example, the same design may appear slightly different on a size S compared to a size XL.
These variations are a normal part of the production process and do not constitute a fault.
