Add Colour, Character and Confidence to Your Brand
Your workwear is more than just clothing — it’s how your team represents your brand.
At W18 Workwear, our primary printing method is DTF (Direct-to-Film), chosen for its durability, flexibility and ability to deliver vibrant, full-colour results on garments worn every day.
All printing is produced in-house in the UK, giving you consistent quality, fast turnaround and full control over the final result.
🔥 DTF Printing (Primary Print Method)
DTF printing is our main and recommended solution for garment printing.
It allows logos, text and graphics to be reproduced in full colour with excellent detail and a smooth, flexible finish that performs well in demanding work environments.
DTF is ideal for:
- T-Shirts & Hoodies – bold front or back prints
- Polos & Sweatshirts – professional logos and branding
- Hi-Vis Clothing – clear, visible branding
- Aprons, Bags & Accessories – promotional and hospitality use
🎨 Why We Use DTF for Workwear
DTF offers the best balance of quality, durability and flexibility for modern workwear.
Key benefits:
- unlimited colours and gradients
- sharp detail and clean edges
- flexible, comfortable finish
- strong adhesion designed for everyday wear
- suitable for a wide range of fabrics
- no setup fees and no minimum order
This makes DTF the go-to choice for businesses that need reliable, professional results without compromise.
🧼 Durability & Everyday Wear
DTF prints are designed to withstand regular use and repeated washing.
With proper care, your prints will maintain colour strength and flexibility over time.
We recommend:
- washing garments inside out
- washing at low temperatures
- avoiding tumble drying where possible
Full care instructions are available on our Washcare page.
👀 Previews & Positioning
You’ll see a live design preview during checkout so you can confirm layout and placement before ordering.
Please note:
- on-screen previews are indicative only
- final positioning follows our standard production guidelines
- placement and scale may vary slightly between garment sizes
These variations are normal and ensure the best visual balance across all sizes.
🏭 In-House Quality You Can See
All printing is completed at our UK-based production facility.
We don’t outsource — every order is handled by our own team using professional-grade equipment and durable transfer materials.
This ensures:
- consistent colour accuracy
- smooth, flexible texture
- strong adhesion and wash resistance
- fast, reliable turnaround
Our focus is simple — bright colours, crisp detail and results that last.

🌈 Sublimation Printing (Additional Method)
In addition to DTF printing, we also offer sublimation printing for selected products where this method delivers the best visual result.
Sublimation is a specialist technique in which the design is transferred into the surface of the product rather than sitting on top of it. This creates a smooth, long-lasting finish with excellent colour clarity.
Sublimation is commonly used for:
- mugs and drinkware
- promotional items
- selected polyester-based products
- personalised gifts and branded merchandise
Availability depends on the product type and material.
🎨 Why Choose Sublimation?
Sublimation offers unique advantages where it can be applied:
- smooth, edge-free finish
- full-colour designs with fine detail
- no cracking or peeling
- ideal for photographic and detailed artwork
This method is best suited to light-coloured, coated or polyester-based surfaces.
⚠️ Important Notes on Sublimation
- sublimation is material-dependent and not suitable for all products
- it cannot be applied to standard cotton garments
- colours may vary slightly depending on material and screen settings
- on-screen previews are for guidance only
- minor colour or positioning variations are considered normal and are not a fault
If a product is not suitable for sublimation, we will advise on the best alternative print method.
